Yes, but with nuance. PM roles are remote, yet most expect significant timezone overlap with engineering and design teams. Fully location-independent PM roles exist but are less common than remote-in-region. Read each original posting for timezone expectations.
How do I move into product management remotely?
The most reliable route is internal: move from engineering, design, support or operations into a product role at your current (or a distributed) company. External remote PM hires almost always require prior shipped-product experience. A strong way in without the title is product-ops or a technical-PM-adjacent role.
