Tenancy Manager - Residential Lettings
Salary: R30 000 – R35 000 per month
A UK lettings agency needs a Tenancy Manager, fully remote from South Africa, for R30 000 to R35 000 a month, to own a portfolio of about 200 residential homes.
Role overview
Remote Recruitment is hiring for an established UK sales and lettings agency. You will be the main contact for landlords, tenants and contractors across a portfolio of 180 to 200 properties. You run your own diary, follow clear written processes and keep people updated without being chased. Hours are 09:00 to 17:30 UK time, Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
Key responsibilities
- Manage active tenancies end to end: enquiries, notices, terminations, check-outs and deposit returns and disputes
- Monitor rent accounts, chase arrears, update landlords and handle Universal Credit paperwork
- Triage maintenance by urgency, appoint contractors, get landlord approval and follow every job to completion
- Run weekly compliance reports and chase gas, electrical, EPC, fire safety and licensing certificates
- Clear your daily diary actions and keep full, accurate notes in the property management system
- Respond promptly on Teams and email, and flag risks early
What you'll need
- At least 2 years in hands-on residential property or tenancy management, looking after arrears, maintenance and deposits
- Experience personally managing a portfolio of around 150 or more units
- Experience with a property management system such as MRI, Reapit, Alto, Fixflo, PayProp or WeConnectU
- A track record of working independently, owning your caseload and communicating proactively
- A reliable home office with fibre and backup power for loadshedding
Nice to have
- UK lettings experience, including deposit schemes (TDS or DPS) and UK safety compliance
- ARLA Propertymark or an equivalent property qualification
- Familiarity with Homelet, Signable or other referencing and e-signing tools
What's on offer
- 100% remote, from anywhere in South Africa
- A full-time, long-term role with a growing UK agency that has already hired South African team members
- Structured training on the agency's systems and processes
- UK bank holidays off, plus annual leave
