Remote | Philippines based | Australian company | Immediate start

Raven Engineering Group specialises in water storage tanks, engineering, installation, refurbishment and maintenance projects across Australia.

We’re looking for an organised, confident project manager to take ownership of our projects from sales handover through to completion and final payment.

We typically have around 40 active projects at different stages. We need someone who keeps jobs moving, follows through and makes sure the required checks happen before work proceeds.

This is a remote coordination and management role. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you must understand construction project delivery and be comfortable working with drawings, specifications and quality records.

You will work closely with our design, procurement, installation and accounts teams. You must be available during agreed Australian business hours to support our site crews and clients.

Pay and progression

Starting rate is USD $8 per hour, with the opportunity to progress to USD $10 to $12 per hour based on demonstrated performance and ownership.

Progression will depend on results, attention to detail and your ability to manage projects independently and improve how we work.

The position is available to start immediately.

Project management responsibilities

• Manage approximately 40 active projects at different stages, from sales handover through to completion and final payment.

• Maintain accurate project records, tasks, responsibilities and follow ups in Pipedrive and ServiceM8.

• Coordinate engineering, estimating, procurement, installation and accounts.

• Track schedules, manufacturing, deliveries, installation dates and deadlines.

• Follow up on drawing approvals, purchase orders, outstanding information and client decisions.

• Track budgets, costs, variations and payment milestones. Ensure changes are recorded and the required approvals are obtained.

• Coordinate invoicing with accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Lead project meetings, assign actions and make sure agreed tasks are completed.

• Identify delays and problems early. Resolve what you can and escalate decisions with clear facts and proposed next steps.

• Provide concise progress updates showing priorities, overdue actions and decisions needed.

Quality assurance and project readiness

Your role includes making sure the right checks happen before materials are installed and before work is covered or crews leave site.

• Confirm site teams have the current approved drawings, scope, material requirements and checklists.

• Coordinate checks of delivered materials against approved specifications, including product codes, delivery records and certificates.

• Ensure material substitutions and changes to the approved design are referred to the responsible person for written approval before use.

• Maintain records of required licences, training, insurance, inductions and permits. Flag missing or expired documents before mobilisation.

• Coordinate required inspections and hold points. A hold point is a stage where work cannot proceed until the required check and approval are complete.

• Review daily site updates, photos and forms for completeness. Follow up on missing or unclear evidence promptly.

• Maintain a register of defects, departures from approved requirements and corrective actions, with an owner and due date for each item.

• Before crews leave site, confirm the responsible supervisor has checked the work and any remaining items have an agreed plan and approval.

• Organise completion records, warranties, handover documents and client sign offs.

You will have management support to hold mobilisation or affected work where required checks or approvals are missing.

Technical decisions and engineering certification remain with the responsible qualified people. Site supervisors remain responsible for checking physical materials and workmanship. Your responsibility is to make sure these checks happen, the evidence is recorded and outstanding items are closed.

Improve how we work

We want someone who spots recurring problems and introduces practical improvements.

This includes improving project handovers, material checks, checklists, reporting and document control.

You should be comfortable using ChatGPT and other AI tools to help review information, prepare reports and identify gaps. You must check the output and know when an issue needs a person with technical expertise.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience managing multiple projects in construction, engineering, manufacturing or a similar environment.

• Strong attention to detail and consistent follow through.

• Excellent spoken and written English, with confidence speaking to Australian clients, suppliers and site teams.

• Confidence to lead meetings, ask direct questions and hold people accountable.

• The ability to read project drawings and specifications well enough to identify discrepancies and raise clear questions.

• Experience coordinating QA records, inspections, material approvals or project closeout.

• Strong organisation and the ability to prioritise a busy workload independently.

• Commercial awareness and confidence tracking budgets, variations and payments.

• Strong Excel skills and confidence using project management systems.

• Pipedrive and ServiceM8 experience is highly desirable.

• Confidence using AI tools while applying your own judgement.

We need someone who takes ownership, raises problems early and follows them through. You should not need constant reminders to complete tasks or chase outstanding actions.
