Estimator and sales support | Remote position

Raven Engineering Group is an Australian company specialising in water storage tanks and associated engineering and installation projects.

We're looking for a highly organised and detail oriented estimator to join our team. This role is primarily focused on preparing accurate quotations, managing project budgets and supporting our sales team.

We're looking for someone who is confident working independently, has excellent English communication skills and knows how to use technology and AI to improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Prepare accurate and detailed quotations using Excel.

Review project drawings, specifications and client requirements.

Complete material takeoffs, costing and project budgets.

Identify missing information and prepare RFIs (Requests for Information) to clients.

Communicate professionally with clients and suppliers via email .

Work closely with our sales team to deliver quotations within required timeframes.

Maintain organised estimating spreadsheets, pricing records and project information.

Use AI tools and automation to improve estimating accuracy, speed and workflow.

Assist with quote revisions, supplier pricing and general sales support.

What we're looking for

Advanced Excel skills are essential. You should be very comfortable with formulas, spreadsheets and costing models.

Excellent attention to detail. Accuracy is extremely important in this role.

Strong written and spoken English, particularly for professional client email s.

Previous experience in estimating, construction, engineering or manufacturing is highly regarded.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Confident using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve productivity and automate repetitive tasks.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.

A proactive problem solver who asks questions rather than making assumptions.

Someone who takes ownership of their work and can operate with minimal supervision.

About the role

This is a remote position working with an Australian team.

You'll receive support and training on our products and estimating processes, but we expect you to bring strong Excel skills, initiative and a genuine interest in improving how work gets done.

We value accuracy, efficiency and clear communication over simply being busy.

There is an opportunity to grow into a broader estimating and sales role as you develop your understanding of the business.
