Project manager | Remote position

Raven Engineering Group is an Australian company specialising in water storage tanks, engineering, installation, refurbishment and maintenance projects.

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive project manager to oversee our active projects and ensure everything runs smoothly from the initial sale through to completion and final payment.

We typically have around 40 active projects at any one time, so we need someone who can manage multiple jobs, stay on top of deadlines, communicate clearly and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

This is primarily a coordination and management role, not an onsite construction position.

Key responsibilities

Manage approximately 40 active projects at various stages of completion.

Take ownership of projects from sales handover through to final completion and payment.

Maintain accurate project records, tasks and follow ups within Pipedrive.

Coordinate with our engineering, estimating, procurement and installation teams.

Track project schedules, manufacturing, deliveries, installation dates and deadlines.

Follow up with clients for drawing approvals, purchase orders, outstanding information and project decisions.

Track project budgets, costs, variations and payment milestones.

Coordinate invoicing with our accounts team and follow up on outstanding client payments.

Communicate regularly with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to keep projects moving.

Identify potential delays or issues early and take action to resolve them.

Ensure all project documentation, correspondence and records are properly organised.

Prepare regular progress updates for management.

Use AI tools and automation to improve workflows, reporting and efficiency.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in project management, project coordination or operations management.

Strong experience using Pipedrive CRM is highly desirable.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a large number of projects simultaneously.

Outstanding attention to detail and a strong focus on following tasks through to completion.

Excellent written and spoken English, particularly for professional client communication.

Strong Excel skills and confidence managing spreadsheets, budgets and project trackers.

Experience with construction, engineering or manufacturing projects is highly regarded.

Confidence using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve productivity.

Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems and work independently.

Someone who is comfortable following up with clients, chasing outstanding information and ensuring deadlines are met.

About the role

This is a remote position working with an Australian team.

You'll work closely with our sales, engineering and operations departments to ensure projects progress efficiently and clients are kept informed.

We need someone who takes ownership, follows through on commitments and doesn't need constant reminders.

You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to be commercially minded, organised and confident managing people, deadlines and project information.

We're looking for someone who can bring structure to a busy operation and help us manage our growing project workload.
