IT Helpdesk Agent

Salary: R29 000 – R32 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring an IT Helpdesk Agent for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.
Role overview

You'll be the first point of contact for a UK team's IT issues, troubleshooting problems and keeping people working.
Key responsibilities

- Provide first-line support for hardware, software and account issues

- Log, track and resolve tickets in the helpdesk system

- Reset passwords and manage user access via Active Directory

- Escalate complex issues to second-line support

- Document fixes and update the internal knowledge base

What you'll need

- Experience with Active Directory and user account management

- Experience in a first-line IT support or helpdesk role

- Comfort troubleshooting common hardware and software issues

- Reliable home internet and a quiet space for UK-hours work

- Clear communication when explaining fixes to non-technical users

Nice to have

- Familiarity with remote support tools

- Experience with ticketing systems such as Zendesk or Freshdesk

- A relevant IT certification
