Remote roles open to Spain-based candidates — companies hire remote, but you must be based in Spain. Updated hourly.
Remote jobs in Spain: what to know
Spain is one of the largest remote-work markets in Europe by inventory — RemoShift tracks 2,399 live remote openings from 703 employers (measured 29 October 2026), with 737 of them posted in the previous 14 days. It is less a Spanish-startup market than a hiring market: IT services firms and staffing platforms do most of the recruiting, placing people onto client engagements rather than into in-house teams.
Almost all of it is Spain-restricted. 1,906 of the 2,399 roles list Spain as their only eligible location, and only 494 are open to candidates in more than one country — so these are jobs you can do from Spain, not jobs you can do from anywhere. Pay is quoted in EUR at most employers, USD at international ones, and the contract is often a fixed-term engagement or an invoicing arrangement rather than a permanent Spanish employment contract. Check the original posting for location list, currency and contract type.

Frequently asked questions
Are Spain remote jobs restricted to people living in Spain?
Most are. 1,906 of the 2,399 Spain-tagged listings list Spain as their only eligible location, and only 494 are open to candidates in more than one country. Genuine work-from-anywhere roles are rare here — check the original posting for the country list before applying.
What do remote jobs in Spain pay?
Only about a fifth of Spain listings disclose pay. Among those that quote euros, annualised ranges put the middle half of the market roughly between 27,000 and 60,000 euros, with the median near 39,000. Roles priced in US dollars by international employers sit materially higher. These are local-market bands, not US bands — which is the most important thing to know before negotiating.
Do I need to speak Spanish for a remote job in Spain?
Not for engineering. Many Spain-tagged roles are at international consultancies and product companies where English is the working language. Sales, customer service and any client-facing role at a Spanish-market company usually requires fluent Spanish, and a minority of regional roles ask for Catalan or Basque.
Who hires remotely in Spain?
The largest employers in the current index are IT services and consultancy firms (Inetum, IRIUM, knowmad mood, Talan, Devoteam, Plain Concepts) and staffing platforms (Jobgether, mercor), plus a smaller set of product companies such as Docplanner. With a consultancy you are usually hired onto a client engagement, so the contract counterparty may differ from the company named in the listing.
Travel medical insurance
Taking a job that lets you work from Spain is the easy part — local healthcare eligibility is not automatic for a remote worker on a foreign address. SafetyWing is travel medical cover designed for that gap.
