Role Overview
- We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks) to join one of our US-based clients and turn engineering ideas into designs that don’t just look good on screen—they work in the real world .
- Sitting at the intersection of mechanical engineering, product design, and manufacturing , you’ll use SolidWorks to transform concepts, sketches, existing drawings, and physical samples into accurate 3D models and production-ready technical documentation.
- And this isn’t just a draw-what-you’re-given role. You’ll assess fit, function, materials, tolerances, and manufacturability , identify potential design issues, and recommend practical engineering improvements before problems make their way to production.
- You’ll begin with a 60-day, 100% remote contract , with strong potential to transition into a permanent onsite position in Eastwood, Quezon City .
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks .
- Produce production-ready engineering and technical drawings.
- Apply dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Revise existing CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Maintain accurate design revisions and engineering documentation.
- Reverse engineer products from sketches, drawings, and physical samples.
- Develop alternative design concepts and engineering improvements.
- Perform mass calculations and basic engineering assessments.
- Review assemblies for fit, function, and manufacturability.
- Identify potential design and manufacturing issues.
- Support multiple mechanical design projects and meet project deadlines.
Requirements
Required Qualifications ( Must-Have):
- 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product design, or a closely related engineering environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks .
- Experience creating detailed 3D CAD models .
- Experience producing detailed engineering and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensions and tolerances.
- Understanding of manufacturing specifications.
- Experience revising CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Experience with reverse engineering.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Strong engineering problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret design intent and technical requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and engineering accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

3–5+ years of product or mechanical design experience .
- Experience developing alternative design concepts and design improvements.
- Experience assessing assemblies for fit, function, and manufacturability.
- Experience identifying design risks before production.
- Experience working with US-based or international engineering teams.
