Property Management Bookkeeper

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Management Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records for our short-term rental (STR) and mid-term rental (MTR) operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Buildium Operations Specialist and STR/MTR teams to ensure accurate accounting records, timely reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) records.

Record and categorize income, expenses, bills, and payments.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and Buildium-to-QBO transactions.

Monitor outstanding bills, receivables, and unresolved discrepancies.

Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.

Coordinate with the Buildium Operations Specialist to ensure consistency between property records and accounting records.

Maintain organized supporting documents and follow established SOPs.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required.

Knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and accrual accounting.

Experience with Buildium or property management accounting is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Completed reconciliations and month-end reports.

Proper tracking of outstanding bills and receivables.

Timely identification and resolution of discrepancies.

Consistent compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls.
