Manager- Payroll
Your Leadership in Action
- Lead payroll operations, including payroll processing, time collection, payroll balancing, reporting, tax form administration, and issue resolution to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Manage and develop the payroll team through recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax reporting, wage and hour requirements, garnishments, and record retention.
- Lead payroll system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, automation, and compliance.
- Serve as the primary payroll resource and liaison for Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, auditors, vendors, and organizational leaders on payroll-related matters.
What’s Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive payroll administration experience, including payroll processing, compliance, and operations.
- 3+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to develop staff, manage resources, and drive process improvements.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
