HR Manager (Full-Time, Remote)

Remote — United States | Full-Time | $80,000 – $85,000 / year

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking an experienced HR Manager to deliver effective, consistent HR support across the organization, partnering with managers and employees to address day-to-day needs and ensure HR programs and practices are executed well. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, this is a hands-on role supporting employee relations, performance management, training, payroll coordination, and broader HR initiatives — managing routine and moderately complex matters independently while escalating higher-risk or sensitive issues.

This is the right fit for an HR generalist who builds trust quickly, coaches managers through both everyday and difficult situations, and knows when to solve a problem directly and when to bring in the Senior HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities

-
HR Business Partnership & Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR resource for managers and employees, coaching leaders on policies, performance expectations, and people-management matters

- Conduct thorough, objective workplace investigations and coach managers through difficult employee situations, escalating complex or high-risk matters to the Senior HR Manager

-
Payroll Support & Performance Management
- Partner with Payroll to ensure new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and other employee-status changes are captured accurately and on time, and help resolve discrepancies

- Support managers through the performance-management cycle — goal setting, reviews, feedback, and performance plans — with appropriate follow-up and documentation

-
Training & Manager Development
- Facilitate HR-led training, including compliance training and manager-effectiveness programs, and provide ongoing coaching that builds manager capability and confidence

- Identify capability gaps and help develop training materials, manager resources, and HR communications

-
Talent & Organizational Support
- Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition on staffing needs, onboarding, and employee engagement, retention, and career-development initiatives

- Support organizational changes and change management, and collaborate across HR and Shared Services to provide a consistent, connected experience

Who You Are

-
A business partner — you understand the business and balance employee needs, organizational priorities, risk, and culture to provide practical HR solutions

-
A trusted advisor — you build credibility through strong relationships, discretion, consistency, and follow-through

-
A sound decision maker — you gather facts, use good judgment, and confidently make decisions within your scope while knowing when to escalate

-
A problem solver — you take ownership from issue to resolution and look beyond the immediate problem to address root causes

-
A manager coach — you help managers navigate employee situations while building their confidence and capability to lead effectively

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Manager-level responsibilities

- Strong employee relations experience, including conducting and managing investigations

- Experience supporting performance management, employee engagement, and organizational change

- Demonstrated ability to coach managers and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees

- Experience supporting a multi-location and/or multi-state workforce

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $80,000–$85,000 per year, commensurate with experience. A competitive benefits package is provided, including a 401(k) with employer match; health, vision, and dental benefits; and Paid Time-Off.
