Weare seeking an experienced Demolition Estimator to prepare accurate andcompetitive estimates for residential, commercial, and civil demolitionprojects.
Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for reviewing drawings, siteinformation, scopes of work, and project specifications to determine labour,equipment, materials, disposal, subcontractor, and other project costs. Therole will work closely with project managers, site teams, suppliers, andclients to ensure estimates are accurate, commercially viable, and submitted ontime.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating& Take-Offs
- Reviewarchitectural, structural, civil, and demolition drawings.
- Performdetailed quantity take-offs for demolition works .
- Determinedemolition methodologies, labour requirements, equipment, and projectdurations.
- Estimatecosts for demolition, dismantling, removal, excavation, and associated works.
- Calculate quantities of concrete, steel, masonry,timber, fixtures, finishes, and other materials requiring removal.
- Estimatewaste volumes and disposal requirements.
- Identifysalvageable and recyclable materials where applicable.
Tender& Proposal Preparation
- Preparedetailed and competitive demolition tenders and quotations .
- Reviewtender documents, scopes, specifications, and project requirements.
- Identifyinclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and potential risks.
- Prepareclear cost breakdowns and tender summaries.
- Ensureestimates are completed accurately and within tender deadlines.
- Assistwith preparing variations and revised pricing.
Supplier& Subcontractor Pricing
- Obtainand compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Requestpricing for plant, equipment, waste disposal, trucking, recycling,asbestos-related services, and specialist demolition works.
- Maintainup-to-date supplier and subcontractor pricing databases.
- Negotiatepricing where appropriate to achieve competitive tender outcomes.
Cost& Risk Analysis
- Identifypotential project risks and cost impacts.
- Allowfor site access, traffic management, temporary works, protection works, andother project constraints.
- Considerdisposal fees, tipping charges, transportation, equipment mobilisation, andlabour requirements.
- Reviewprevious projects and historical costs to improve estimating accuracy.
- Conductestimate reviews before submission.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previousexperience as a Demolition Estimator, Construction Estimator, QuantitySurveyor, or similar role .
- Demonstratedexperience estimating demolition or construction projects.
- Strongunderstanding of demolition processes, labour, plant, equipment, and disposalrequirements.
- Abilityto interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
- Strongquantity take-off and cost estimation skills.
- Excellentnumerical and analytical abilities.
·Strongattention to detail.
- Abilityto manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
- Experiencewith Australian demolition and construction projects .
Preferred Experience
- Knowledgeof Australian demolition regulations, safety requirements, and industrypractices.
- Experiencewith residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure demolition.
- Experienceworking with Australian contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Understandingof asbestos and hazardous-material
