Remuneration: £160,000 FTE, dependent upon experience- plus £1000 working from home allowance

Contract Type:  Permanent/ Part time - 32 hours per week (0.8FTE)

In addition, the post holder will have the opportunity to undertake clinical work through a separate contractor engagement, providing additional clinical capacity alongside their substantive role.

Location: Home-based/various UK meeting locations as required

The Consultant Psychiatrist – Children and Young Persons Clinical Service Lead plays a pivotal role within Psychiatry UK , providing expert clinical leadership to one of the UK's leading independent digital mental health providers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to shape the future of Children and Young People (CYP) services, influence clinical strategy, and drive innovation in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.

Working in close partnership with the Clinical Director, the Clinical Lead will provide visible and credible clinical leadership, champion excellence in clinical governance, and support the continued growth and development of our multidisciplinary teams. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, evidence-based care while driving continuous quality improvement, enhancing patient outcomes, and supporting the strategic objectives of the organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to influence service development at a national level while maintaining a strong focus on clinical quality, patient safety, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to ensure the continued delivery of innovative, accessible, and high-quality services for children and young people across the UK.

This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), offering genuine flexibility and work-life balance, although occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK.

As our Consultant Psychiatrist – Children and Young Persons Clinical Service Lead , you will:

Provide clinical leadership for Psychiatry UK 's Children and Young People (CYP) services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based care and excellent patient outcomes.

Lead and support the multidisciplinary clinical team by providing expert clinical guidance, promoting best practice, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

Work in partnership with the Clinical Director and operational leaders to shape and develop CYP services, driving innovation, service transformation, and continuous quality improvement across the organisation.

Oversee clinical governance, ensuring services meet CQC, safeguarding, and regulatory standards while maintaining the highest levels of clinical quality and patient safety.

Monitor clinical performance, patient outcomes, and service quality, using data, audit findings, and patient feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance clinical effectiveness.
