SAP MDG Technical Consultant – Finance

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant – Finance to support a major SAP transformation initiative. The role requires strong technical expertise in SAP Master Data Governance for the Finance domain, with responsibility for technical design, development, integration, migration, and deployment of MDG solutions across SAP environments.
What You Will Be Doing

- Design, develop, configure, and technically implement SAP MDG solutions for Finance master data, including General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and related financial master data objects.

- Translate functional requirements and solution designs into scalable technical solutions within SAP MDG.

- Develop and support MDG data models, workflows, BRF+ rules, validations, derivations, UI configurations, and replication mechanisms.

- Design and implement integrations between SAP MDG and SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA and downstream systems.

- Support SAP MDG migration, upgrade, and transformation programs, including technical assessment and implementation activities.

- Design and execute data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.

- Troubleshoot technical issues across MDG, SAP FI/CO, integration, and replication scenarios.

- Work closely with functional consultants, Finance stakeholders, SAP architects, data migration teams, and developers.

- Support testing, defect resolution, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities.

- Ensure solutions align with SAP Clean Core principles and enterprise architecture standards.

- 7–10+ years of SAP experience, with at least 3–5 years of hands-on SAP MDG technical experience.

- Strong technical expertise in SAP MDG Finance.

- Experience with SAP MDG data models, workflows, BRF+, validations, derivations, UI configuration, and replication.

- Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO master data and integration with MDG.

- Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, including SAP MDG migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.

- Experience with data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling frameworks.

- Strong experience with MDG integration and replication technologies.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across SAP MDG and connected systems.

- Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP Master Data Governance Certification.

- Experience with SAP MDG on SAP S/4HANA, including co-deployed and hub deployment models.

- Experience with MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing.

- Experience with SAP Fiori and MDG UI technologies.

- Understanding of SAP Clean Core architecture.

- Experience in large-scale global SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
