SAP MDG Technical Consultant – Material

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant – Material to support a major SAP transformation initiative. The role requires strong technical expertise in SAP MDG Material Master, with responsibility for technical design, development, integration, migration, and deployment.
What You Will Be Doing

- Design, develop, configure, and technically implement SAP MDG solutions for the Material Master domain.

- Translate functional requirements into technical solutions covering MDG data models, workflows, validations, derivations, UI, and replication.

- Develop and support BRF+ rules, MDG workflows, UI configurations, and DRF/replication scenarios.

- Design and implement integration between SAP MDG Material and SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA, including SAP MM and connected systems.

- Support SAP MDG migration, upgrade, and transformation programs.

- Design and execute data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.

- Support integration, replication, and downstream system distribution.

- Troubleshoot technical issues across MDG, Material Master, MM, integration, and replication scenarios.

- Work closely with functional consultants, SAP MM teams, architects, data migration teams, and developers.

- Support testing, UAT, deployment, cutover, and go-live activities.

- Ensure technical solutions align with SAP Clean Core principles.

- 7–10+ years of SAP experience, with at least 3–5 years of hands-on SAP MDG technical experience.

- Strong technical expertise in SAP MDG Material Master.

- Deep understanding of SAP Material Master structures and SAP MM integration.

- Hands-on experience with MDG data models, workflows, BRF+, validations, derivations, UI configuration, and replication.

- Strong experience with DRF and data replication.

- Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including SAP MDG migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.

- Experience with data migration, mass upload, validation, reconciliation, and error-handling frameworks.

- Strong technical troubleshooting and integration skills.

- Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP Master Data Governance Certification.

- Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA , including co-deployed and hub deployment models.

- Experience with MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing .

- SAP Fiori experience.

- Understanding of SAP Clean Core architecture .

- Experience with global S/4HANA transformation and template rollout programs.

- Pharma/Life Sciences experience is a plus.
