E-commerce Operations Specialist — Amazon, Shopify & Customer Experience
HoppScotch is an established rabbit-products e-commerce brand. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented E-commerce Operations Specialist to help run Amazon and Shopify operations, keep orders and inventory accurate, support customers, and research useful new products.
This is a hands-on operations role, not a general assistant or entry-level training position. You will work with the founder and a dedicated marketing teammate; email campaigns and ongoing social content are not your primary responsibility.
ROLE AND COMPENSATION
• Remote, long-term opportunity, starting at 25 paid hours per week.
• Starting rate: $7.50 USD per hour, paid weekly through Remitly.
• Initial schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00–8:00 p.m. California time (America/Los_Angeles). Please account for daylight-saving changes in your local time.
• Shortlisted finalists may be invited to a 15-hour paid trial at the same rate. Authorized onboarding, research, meetings, and documentation count toward those hours.
• Any later increase in hours or rate requires a separate agreement; it is not automatic.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Amazon Seller Central: monitor account health and policy notices, investigate issues, prepare evidence-based resolutions, manage listings and inventory information, and respond to customer questions.
• Shopify operations: maintain products and variants, check inventory locations and stock availability, investigate overselling or order discrepancies, and improve routine store operations.
• Fulfillment: trace orders and inventory across Shopify and Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), prevent duplicate fulfillment, and verify order status before communicating with customers.
• Customer support: review email and authorized social/message queues, organize outstanding issues, and prepare clear, accurate responses using approved policies.
• Supplier coordination and product research: follow up on specifications, samples, availability, lead times, and shipping; research practical products for rabbit owners with evidence for suitability, demand, cost, and inventory assumptions.
• Documentation: keep ClickUp tasks, time records, and end-of-day updates current. Document repeatable processes and communicate blockers with the relevant facts and a recommended next step.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
• Real, hands-on Amazon Seller Central AND Shopify experience—not coursework alone.
• Experience managing inventory, orders, fulfillment issues, and customer communication. Explain your MCF experience specifically; do not simply list tools.
• Strong written English, attention to detail, and reliable attendance at agreed meetings.
• Independent research and troubleshooting: review company resources and platform documentation before escalating searchable questions, while asking promptly when a business decision or approval is needed.
• Comfort using ClickUp, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and AI as an assistant while checking its output. Projections must use stated inputs and formulas, not invented sales percentages.
• Reliable internet and a practical backup plan.
HELPFUL BONUSES
ManyChat troubleshooting, rabbit-care or pet-product knowledge, supplier sourcing, TikTok Shop, and demonstrated store-improvement experience. Be honest about what you have used in production and what you are still learning.
HOW WE WORK
We value clear communication, initiative, documentation, and respectful suggestions. Spending, refunds, price or discount changes, and protected live-system changes require approval. You should be able to make progress independently within those boundaries. We provide company-controlled access; never share client credentials or private customer data in your application.
HOW TO APPLY
Start your application with BURROW READY, then briefly include:
1. Your Amazon and Shopify experience, years of hands-on use, and what you personally owned.
2. One inventory, fulfillment, or account-health problem you personally resolved and how you verified the outcome.
3. Your product-research/supplier experience and any relevant rabbit or pet-product knowledge.
4. Your availability, current commitments, and whether the stated rate and schedule work for you.
5. Your resume and one or two existing, redacted work examples if available.
No new video or lengthy unpaid project is required. Qualified applicants will receive one short, hypothetical written assessment before an interview. Please be specific and honest rather than sending a generic introduction.
This role requires you to be in the Philippines. If that means relocating or flying in, it is worth checking fares before you commit to a start date.
