Role Overview
- Great tenders aren’t built on guesswork. They’re built on details that add up.

- We’re looking for a Civil Estimating & Tendering Specialist to remotely support one of our Australian clients and their civil construction estimating team.

- You’ll be the person getting beneath the surface of tender documentation—reviewing drawings and specifications, completing quantity take-offs, checking BOQs, preparing scope packages, issuing RFQs, and comparing supplier and subcontractor pricing.

- When the drawings, specifications, and quantities aren’t telling quite the same story, you’ll know where to look.

- This is a hands-on role where your work feeds directly into tender decisions. You’ll work independently while providing the Australian estimating team with accurate, organized information they can confidently use to build competitive tenders.

Key Responsibilities
- Review civil construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation.

- Complete accurate quantity take-offs and quantity checks.

- Identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications, BOQs, and quantities.

- Break projects into clear trade and construction scope packages.

- Prepare RFQ packages with relevant drawings, specifications, and quantities.

- Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors and follow up on pricing.

- Review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations against scope and quantities.

- Identify and recommend best-value options for tender submissions.

- Provide Estimators with accurate and organized estimating information.

- Support tender preparation across civil construction scopes, including earthworks, concrete, drainage, roads, utilities, and infrastructure.

Requirements

Required Qualifications (Must-Have):

2+ years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Civil Engineering, or a closely related construction role.

- Engineering or Quantity Surveying background.

- Practical experience completing quantity take-offs and BOQ checks.

- Experience interpreting civil construction drawings and specifications.

- Experience with tender documentation and estimating support.

- Experience preparing RFQs and trade/scope packages.

- Experience reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations.

- Proficiency in Excel .

- Experience using construction estimating/take-off tools.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage estimating tasks with minimal supervision.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.

- Reliable high-speed internet suitable for a work-from-home setup.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Australian civil construction experience.

- Experience supporting Australian estimating or tendering teams.

- Exposure to civil construction scopes such as earthworks, concrete, drainage, roads, utilities, or infrastructure.
