Automation Engineer

Position Summary
AmeriSave is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance service delivery across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with the Microsoft Power Platform , systems integration, API development and consumption, and modern authentication technologies.
This role works closely with infrastructure, security, application development, and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions across IT and business operations.
- Build and support solutions utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform , including:
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
- Power BI
- Power Virtual Agents / Copilot Studio
- Develop integrations between cloud and on-premises systems using REST APIs and web services.
- Create and maintain reusable automation workflows, scripts, and templates.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify manual processes suitable for automation.
- Develop workflows that interact with Microsoft 365, Azure, Teams, SharePoint, and other enterprise platforms.
- Monitor automation performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Document automation solutions, technical designs, and operational procedures.
- Participate in solution architecture reviews and recommend automation and integration best practices.
- Ensure automation solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or application development.
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform , particularly Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience working with REST APIs , JSON, XML, and web-based integrations.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting API authentication and authorization processes.
- Strong knowledge of scripting and automation technologies, including:
- PowerShell
- Python
- JavaScript
- Experience integrating cloud services and enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services and Microsoft Graph API.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Power Platform governance, environments, and Center of Excellence (CoE) best practices.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud products.
- Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, or related certifications.
