Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced Appian System Administrator to support Army CPE, ES2, AT&R in the sustainment and enhancement of the Army Contract Writing System (ACWS). ACWS is built on the Appian Platform. The Appian System Administrator will support platform configuration, environment operations, application deployments, access administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and system reliability across ACWS environments.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate combines strong Appian platform knowledge with practical systems administration, integration, performance, and security experience and will work closely with developers, solution architects, DevSecOps engineers, database administrators, information assurance personnel, and functional stakeholders.

- Administer and maintain Appian Platform environments supporting ACWS application development, testing, staging, and production operations.

- Perform Appian application deployments, configuration changes, environment promotions, and release support in accordance with approved procedures.

- Manage Appian users, groups, roles, permissions, service accounts, and access-related configuration in coordination with security and program policies.

- Monitor Appian platform health, performance, capacity, logs, services, integrations, and system availability and take corrective action as needed.

- Support Appian Cloud configuration and platform support processes and coordinate with hosting or vendor support organizations when required.

- Troubleshoot complex Appian application, integration, performance, configuration, and connectivity issues and coordinate with development and infrastructure teams for resolution.

- Support enterprise identity and access integrations, including LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, SAML, certificates, and related authentication mechanisms.

- Support Appian in-memory data and platform architecture considerations, including sizing and horizontal or vertical scaling activities as directed.

- Coordinate with database administrators, DevSecOps engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and solution architects on platform changes, maintenance, and incident resolution.

- Support security hardening, configuration compliance, patching, and operational documentation for Appian environments.

- Maintain configuration records, runbooks, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides and contribute to knowledge management.

- Participate in Agile planning, release activities, testing, user acceptance testing, and production implementation efforts.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

- 5+ years of experience in system administration, enterprise application administration, application operations, or related technical roles.

- Demonstrated experience administering enterprise applications and supporting application deployments, configurations, access controls, and troubleshooting.

- Experience with platform monitoring, logs, diagnostic tools, configuration management, and performance troubleshooting.
