Position Title: Temporary Remote Human Resources Generalist​
Location: Must reside within Alaska

Pay: 35.00 - 42.00 Per Hour DOE

Schedule: 8-5 M-F

Term: Temporary or Permanent depending on availability
Other - Position requires one week of training in Sitka​

Job Duties - Temporary Remote Human Resources Generalist

Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace concerns, policies, performance expectations, and day-to-day employee relations matters.Support onboarding and new hire orientation and manage HR information systems data for accuracy

and compliance.

Partner with leaders on performance management, coaching, corrective action, attendance, employee conduct, and documentation to promote fair and consistent practices.

Identify employee relations trends and recurring issues and elevate concerns or recommendations to HR leadership when appropriate.

Manage recruitment activities for assigned positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume review, interview coordination, candidate communication, offers, and pre-employment processes.

- Expand and maintain recruiting sources, partnerships, and talent pipelines, with particular attention to the needs of a seasonal and maritime workforce.

- Support onboarding and new hire orientation and provide onsite assistance during critical seasonal training and mobilization periods.

- Coordinate and support the annual performance review process, including timelines, manager communication, completion tracking, and documentation.

- Partner with leaders to identify employee development, training, succession, and retention needs and support the implementation and tracking of development plans.

- Assist with development, review, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, forms, and standard operating practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible HR experience may be considered.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with demonstrated experience independently handling generalist-level responsibilities.

- MS Office knowledge

- Valid Drivers License

- Knowledge of tourism industry preferred
