Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop, revise, and maintain technical and administrative documentation that supports business operations, processes, and equipment-related activities. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, the ability to translate complex information into clear documentation, and experience working with technical subject matter experts.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain reports, manuals, procedures, guides, and technical documentation.
- Gather information from subject matter experts, technical teams, and existing documentation to produce accurate content.
- Research and interpret technical specifications, diagrams, drawings, and related materials.
- Organize content to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to established standards.
- Review and update documentation to reflect process, system, or procedural changes.
- Coordinate document reviews and maintain version control and revision records.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop training, instructional, and operational materials.
- Select and incorporate visual elements such as charts, diagrams, illustrations, and screenshots to enhance documentation.
- Support publication, distribution, and maintenance of technical materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years technical writing experience
- Active Security clearance required
- Experience creating and editing technical, operational, or procedural documentation.
- Strong written communication, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and present it in a user-friendly format.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, government, or technical operations environments.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, diagrams, specifications, or equipment documentation.
- Experience developing training materials, user guides, or process documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
