We are the leading weather program of US Armed Force that receives meteorological satellite data from all over the world. Our 9 ground station around the world provide critical situation awareness weather data for our frontline troops. Our servers control the antennas, obtain and manipulate the data, then provide the images to our client product. Our client product itself provides our users with countless functionalities for our downloaded data. MARK IV-B handles everything from start to finish.

We are currently looking a Systems Engineer with knowledge of satellite weather. This position includes life cycle support for the Space Force MARK IV-B Direct-Readout system. As the program Systems Engineer you will support the system from requirements definition through final testing and fielding. The role includes continuous research of current and emerging weather satellite capabilities, making recommendations for integration into operational sites, and delivering training to system users.

Key responsibilities include:

- Translate customer requirements into practical, use‑based solutions.

- Define functional and technical specifications; specify input/output parameters.

- Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.

- Analyze test data, produce detailed system‑level evaluation reports, and verify performance against requirements.

- Generate discrepancy reports, execute regression testing, and validate fixes.

- Deliver briefings and technical presentations to customers and senior leadership.

- Conduct training sessions for system users and support personnel.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Meteorology, or a closely related discipline.

- Demonstrated expertise in satellite communications and ground‑station antenna systems.

- Experience developing system requirements and conducting verification & validation testing.

Desired Skills

- Formal background in meteorology or atmospheric sciences.

- Direct experience with the MARK IV‑B system or similar weather platforms.

- Proficiency in Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development and management.

- History of designing and delivering user‑training programs for complex software tools.

- Proven written and oral communication skills; strong analytical mindset; ability to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $131100.00 - $243500.00 - Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.

- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $118000.00 - $219100.00 - Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.

- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $104900.00 - $194700.00 - Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.

- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $94400.00 - $175200.00 - Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.
