Position: STEM Researcher — Computational Fields
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60–$90/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 35 hours/week
Role Responsibilities

- Design complex, multi-step tasks using research skills like experimental design , hypothesis testing , and evaluation .

- Author solutions in Python and notebooks, ensuring high rigor and accuracy.

- Define criteria for sound scientific reasoning to distinguish it from superficial reasoning.

- Evaluate model attempts and identify mistakes a working researcher would catch.

- Collaborate with researchers and experts to maintain consistent and accurate evaluations.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- MSc or PhD in a STEM field or computational social-science or humanities discipline.

- 1+ years of experience in an active research role.

- Significant computational work involving Python-based analysis .

- Strong grounding in experimental design , hypothesis testing , and evaluation.

- Familiarity with Git , IDEs , and notebook environments like Jupyter or Colab .

Preferred
- Experience in AI training , model evaluation, or benchmark/task authoring.
