Position: Bilingual Norwegian STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $77–$81/hour
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Role Responsibilities

- Write expert-level prompts in Norwegian across specialized scientific topics.

- Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.

- Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.

- Collaborate with AI research teams to improve model safety and handling of technical topics.

- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and enhance AI model performance .

Qualifications

Must-Have

- PhD in chemistry , biology , or a closely related field.

- Native or near-native fluency in Norwegian and business-level written English .

- Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.

- Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

- Based in Norway .

- Expertise in radiochemistry , nuclear chemistry , or related fields.

- Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic synthesis or molecular biology .

- Experience with chemical safety, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling.

- Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
