Solution Architect (Information Technology/Software)
Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.
Role Overview
Our client currently has a vacancy for a Solution Architect in English, to offer his/her services as an expert remotely (within EU) . In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team.
Location: Europe
Workplace: Remote

Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a technology architect, data architect or applications/services architect;
- Experience in Software development;
- Experience of on-premise, virtualization and cloud-based Infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS);
- Experience of working in an agile software development environment;
- Experience with OCP, Postgres and Kafka ;
- Experience in Solutions Architecture and Design experience across a broad portfolio of software, cloud and / or data projects;
- Hands-on knowledge in the administration, customization and use of the architecture, modelling or design tools (e.g. Sparx EA);
- Excellent knowledge of architecture solutions design and modelling and project management;
- Excellent knowledge of key IT skills: software engineering, security, system and network management, transaction processing, location and directory, user interface, international operations, data interchange, data management, graphics and image, operating system services, network services, communications infrastructure;
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms;
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools;
- Biometrics knowledge would be considered an asset;
- The following certification is required: TOGAF practitioner;
- Excellent command of the English language.
Responsibilities
- Understand, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications and implement that requirements understanding in the architecture solutions and specifications;
- Customize and use the architecture, modelling or design tools to develop;
- Design the required conceptual architecture models using client’s architectural standard tools, define the components of the solution, and analyze the components from existing systems that can be reused.
- Design, develop, test and deploy customized artefacts (reports, data export and import scripts, diagrams and objects layouts and design, tool configuration, etc.) according to a set of requirements;
- Identify system, infrastructure and project interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved;
- Assess the usage of the client’s modelling tools and advice on governance, conventions, procedures, methods, customizations and/or configurations that should ensure its most effective usage.
