MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Software Developer Senior , the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:

- Build and customize applications on the ServiceNow platform, including ITSM modules like Incident, Problem, and Change Management

- Create custom scripts, including Business Rules and Script Includes, to automate processes and meet business requirements

- Connect the ServiceNow platform with other systems and applications using technologies like REST/SOAP

- Perform administrative tasks, such as user and role management, system maintenance, and health checks

- Customize user interfaces, forms, and workflows to align with business needs

- Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for issues related to integrated processes and platform functionality

- Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products

- Participate in IT-related technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement

- Maintain current ServiceNow and industry certifications, while obtaining additional certifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

● Experience: 3+ years of related experience
● Required Skills:

- Experience in developing and customizing ServiceNow applications and modules, especially ITSM

- Experience with integration methods like SOAP, REST, and web services, including creating and consuming them

- Scripting skill with at least one language – preferably JavaScript

- Exposure to ServiceNow's data management tools such as Import Sets, Transform Maps, and the CMDB

- Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective technical solutions.

- Understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle, from smoke test to integration to production deployment

- Ability to identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with customer value streams

- Organizational and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment

- Ability to identify and learn new technologies quickly

- Good communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Effective analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills

- Ability to drive methodology changes, manage customer deliverables, and identify and resolve process issues.

- Ability to communicate as a technical authority and contribute to proposals and technical specifications

- Ability to lead Scrum demos, work groups, and team efforts

- Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, mentor junior team members, and support staff development

● Required Certification:
- ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator

● Security Clearance Level: Must possess an active Top Secret clearance -or- DOE "Q" Access Authorization
