About the Role
The Senior Manager, HR Operations plays a key role in leading our enterprise HR team effort to embrace automation and maximize technology capabilities, leads a centralized team handling day-to-day employee support, transactions, and operational workflows. This role tracks performance metrics, ensures policy compliance, and improves service delivery across the organization. Serves as primary point of contact or subject matter expert for HR business projects involving the development and implementation handling complex work assignments and problem resolution across systems, processes, or channels. The Senior Manager, HR Operations role will work closely with the Senior Director of HR Operations, and play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, improving ROI, and ensuring effective team organization.
Core Responsibilities
TEAM LEADERSHIP, DEVELOPMENT & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Lead Operations: Oversee daily support center activities, case management workflows, and employee lifecycle transactions.

Manage Performance: Drive service metrics like response time, case backlog, and service level agreements (SLAs)

Develop Team: Coach, mentor, and build accountability within the HR support staff.

Process Improvement: Use data trends to automate tasks, refine self-service options, and update standard operating procedures.

Execution: Manage projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying roadmap and timeline, scopes and implementation plans, including risk mitigation; Drive special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the Senior Director, HR Operations/HR, as identified through strategic planning and continuous improvement processes

Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Human Resources, Business, or HRIS and/or equivalent experience in human resources.
- 3 to 7 years in HR Operations, Operations Leadership or Shared Services
- 7 years of progressive HR experience
- Experience delivering HR Services to a geographically dispersed employee population
- Strong grasp of employment laws, data privacy, and core HR processes
- Knowledge of various functional human resources areas and understanding of how operational work impacts other business areas
- Previous experience providing input regarding hiring, evaluating, and development of subordinates
- Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills to evaluate options and implement solutions
- Ability to provide high-quality work utilizing highly developed and effective communication (written and verbal), project management, time management, and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and prior experience with databases
- Working knowledge of ADP HCM
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience with leading HRIS (ex: ADP, Workday, Dayforce, UKG)
- HR leadership in a healthcare environment
- Project Management experience
- HR Certification (PHR, SPHR)
