Role Details

📍 Job location: Portugal or Spain ( Remote model - 8:00 - 17:00 h)
🕒 Contract type: Employee/ Contractor B2B
🗓 Target start date: End of 2026 Q4/ 2027 Q1
⏰ Working hours: Full-time (40h/week)
💵 Compensation: 45 - 50k per year or 280 daily rate
📋 What You'll Architect

As a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining technology, data, intelligence, and human decision-making.

This role is both technical and consultative, perfect for someone who can combine data engineering expertise , large-scale migration delivery , and modern cloud data platform design . We're looking for professionals who think like architects and act like builders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the migration of data workflows from Hadoop/Hive environments into Snowflake .

Design and implement a scalable Migration Factory to industrialise and automate migration processes.

Develop and optimise Dataiku workflows supporting data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and automation.

Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Analyse existing data solutions and identify opportunities for optimisation and performance improvement.

Implement scalable and high-performing Snowflake architectures , ensuring security, governance, and operational excellence.

Collaborate with Data Architects , Business Analysts , and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and engineering best practices across projects.
