The Opportunity

Riverside Insights builds research-backed assessments that help educators and clinicians understand each learner's unique strengths and needs, and every one of those products stands on a foundation of applied research. As our Research team expands its studies with customers across product lines, we need a Research Coordinator to be the operational engine behind that work: recruiting participants, keeping studies compliant, and making sure the evidence base behind our assessments keeps growing.

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who wants real ownership early in their research career. You will be the primary point of contact for study participants, the person who keeps IRB submissions and consent documentation airtight, and a key contributor to the research summaries that turn study data into validity evidence our Product teams rely on.

You will work closely with the Research team and cross-functional partners in Customer Success and Marketing, balancing steady operational rigor with the curiosity to help translate findings into resources educators and internal teams can actually use. This role reports to the Senior Research Associate.
What You'll Do

-
Recruit research participants. Build and maintain a pipeline of study participants across Riverside's product lines, serving as their primary point of contact from outreach through study completion.

-
Manage IRB compliance. Prepare and maintain IRB submissions, renewals, and consent documentation so every study meets human subjects protection requirements.

-
Coordinate study execution. Support the end-to-end logistics of applied research studies, from scheduling and data collection to participant follow-up.

-
Generate validity evidence. Contribute to research outputs and summaries that translate study findings into validity evidence for Riverside's products.

-
Administer participant incentives. Track eligibility and process participant stipend disbursements accurately and on time.

-
Support R&D initiatives. Conduct literature reviews and contribute to conference submissions, presentations, and other knowledge-sharing resources.

-
Contribute to quality control. Assist with user acceptability testing and quality control processes for new and updated assessments.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field.

- Experience coordinating research projects or studies, including participant recruitment and communication.

- Working knowledge of IRB processes and human subjects research ethics, or the ability to learn them quickly.

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to track multiple concurrent studies and deliverables.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with participants, customers, and cross-functional teams.

What You'll Bring

- Familiarity with data collection and basic analysis tools.

- Interest in psychometrics, assessment development, or K-12 and clinical research.

- A detail-oriented, proactive approach to compliance and administrative tracking.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams

Physical Requirements

- Remote

- Travel 1–2 times a year for off-site team meetings or conferences.

- May require stationary positions (sitting or standing) for extended periods.
