BasedinAustinTX, this rolewill serve as Citi’sRepublican West RegionlobbyistwithintheU.S. Government Affairs (USGA)team. The roleis responsible formanaging public policy and political relationships with key government officialsacross several key states andlocalities.Reporting to thestateandlocalgovernmentteam lead,the roleworks closelywiththe teamlead, USGAcolleagues, andbusiness partners (e.g., in-region site leaders)to advance Citi’s engagement with policymakers who shape the firm’s operating policy environment by executing high-impact engagement strategies aligned with Citi’s government affairs priorities and enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary advocate of Citi’s public policy interests withthegovernment officials shaping public policy impacting Citi in the portfolio region,bylobbying to achieve favorable policy outcomes andmanagingpolitical engagement in a portfolio ofRepublicanstatesin the West with a primary focus on Texas.Includes:

- Identify, analyze, prioritize, and regularly communicate issues and implications

- Coordinate on policy issues and advocacy with key internalUSGApartnersto ensure policy issues are appropriately escalated to lines of business.

- Develop, in coordination withteam lead, a strategicengagement plan to address prioritized issueswithkeypolicymakers

- Leadplan execution by engaging with portfolio government officials, trade associations, and consultantsin theportfolioregion

Execute strategic engagement and meeting plans that strengthen relationships between senior Citi business leaders and government officials in the portfolio region,both individually andwith senior Citi GA and businessexecutives.

Build and strengthen productive relationships with policymakers,with a focus on Citi site locations inthe region.

Partner closely with USGA colleagues to advance political and policy objectives

Manage Citi’s engagement inrelevant trade associationsandleverageconsultantsto advance engagement andlobbying goalsas needed.

Be avalue-added resourcetocolleaguesand internalbusinesspartners,providinginsight and guidance on politicaland policydevelopmentsintheportfolioregion.

Represent Citi in public fora and in meetings with government officials, including atthird-party convenings, political gatherings andconferences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degreerequired; advanced degree preferred

Minimum7years of experience in government relations or related field, including in government, amajor corporation, trade association, or other business organization

Prefer experiencecollaborating withteamsof government affairs professionals

Prefer experience working on financial services public policy

Strong existing relationships with government officials inTexas
