Quality Assurance Analyst
Reporting to the Director, QA, the Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through manual testing, automated testing, and AI-assisted quality assurance practices. The incumbent works closely with Product Management, Development, and Customer Support teams to validate requirements, identify risks, and verify software functionality before release.

The Quality Assurance Analyst leverages AI-powered tools and automation technologies to improve testing efficiency, enhance test coverage, accelerate defect detection, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively apply AI-assisted testing techniques while exercising sound judgment to validate AI-generated outputs.
The incumbent participates throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements reviews, test planning, test execution, defect management, automation development, and continuous process improvement.
Test Planning & Execution
- Review business and functional requirements to ensure completeness, clarity, and testability.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases to validate product functionality.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
- Validate software releases against business requirements and quality standards.
AI-Assisted Testing
- Utilize AI-powered tools to accelerate creation of test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Leverage Generative AI solutions to analyze requirements and identify testing gaps, risks, and edge cases.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve defect analysis, root cause investigation, and test coverage assessments.
- Create and refine prompts and workflows that improve the effectiveness of AI-assisted testing activities.
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
- Execute, and maintain automated test scripts and regression test suites.
- Support integration of automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve testability and automation coverage
Defect Management & Reporting
- Document defects clearly and consistently using defect tracking tools.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
- Track and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release risks.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality objectives are achieved.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Competencies Profile:
- Technical Skills – Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and test design techniques. Experience performing both manual and automated testing activities.
- AI-Assisted Testing - Ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, coverage, and testing outcomes. Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
- Problem Solving – Detail-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Ability to identify patterns, risks, and quality issues.
- Interpersonal Skills –Ability to effectively communicate and work with various team members both internally and externally. Strong verbal communication skills are required.
