Rural Physicians Group (RPG) is the leading provider in rural healthcare services and we're looking for a driven Provider Operations Coordinator to add to our team.
Job Description:

The Provider Operations Coordinator primary function is to support the provider in all onboarding areas and ensure ongoing provider and program success. The Provider Operations Coordinator will manage the ongoing day-to-day processes between departments related to provider management to include; maintaining physician and assigned hospital schedules, provider Self-scheduling portal, updating shared data sites, and routinely engaging in duties related to provider success.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for an assigned panel of providers, building trusted working relationships that support engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention

- Set clear expectations with providers one-on-one regarding schedules, facility protocols, and RPG policies, confirming that instructions are understood and consistently followed

- Lead a structured cadence of check-ins — monthly with individual providers and quarterly with the full provider team by program — to review coverage commitments, performance, and compliance, and to surface concerns before they escalate

- Capture insights gathered through daily provider contact and communicate them to operations, recruiting, and program leadership so that trends in provider satisfaction, coverage risk, or facility dynamics are addressed proactively

Onboarding and Orientation:

- Manage end-to-end onboarding for providers new to RPG and to individual programs as assigned, coordinating across credentialing, licensing, privileging, systems access, and travel logistics so providers are fully prepared for their first shift

- Coordinate on-site orientation at the assigned program or facility, partnering with hospital leadership and the local Chief Hospitalist on introductions, facility tours, and systems training

- Brief incoming providers on facility-specific critical success factors, workflows, key pressure points, and stakeholder relationships so they can integrate quickly and practice effectively from day one

Scheduling and Coverage:

- Maintain the day-to-day scheduling processes that guarantee uninterrupted provider coverage at partner hospitals 24/7, 365 days a year

- Assess program coverage needs and build schedules that guarantee each provider is assigned their minimum shift commitment while balancing stated availability, facility requirements, and continuity of care

- Publish and distribute completed schedules to hospital partners on the 15th of the precedi
