YOUR ROLE

For this position, you will be joining the Engineering Operations team as a member of technical staff, focusing on application maintenance and improvement. Your main duties will focus on GitLab, supporting its user base and expanding its capabilities in collaboration with Engineering teams. You will also be called upon to support other Engineering applications, e.g., Confluence, CodeCollaborator, etc

In your daily job you will: Position is 8AM-5PM Pacific Time Zone (India Night Shift).

What You'll Do

- Support and expand GitLab and other applications

- Work with internal customers on application issues

- Participate in global infrastructure & development projects

- Provide guidance on technical issues and process to junior members of the team

- Perform code and design reviews

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Education & Experience

- BE / MTech degree with min 8 to 12 Years of Experience(Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical degree)

- 5+ years supporting and expanding GitLab, including Agile Planning, pipelines, CI/CD, administration of users and groups/projects, and deep familiarity with the APIs

- 3-5 years in front-line application support & customer interaction

- 3-5 years Linux user experience, with system admin experience a plus

- 5 years Jenkins administration experience

- 5 years Kubernetes development experience

- Programming & scripting experience using Python, Shell, REST API services, etc.

- Experience with monitoring & logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, etc.

- Understanding of MySQL & PostgreSQL a plus

- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills

- Self-managed and fast learner

- Good verbal and written communication skills and a good listener

- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative situations

Working Hours
The expected working hours for this role are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST , these hours are required as the position will be supporting the Engineering team in the U.S.

This is intended to be a fully remote role . The employee will not be required to attend the office on a regular basis.
