This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

As a Marketing Manager, you'll need to:
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Demand Generation

- Plan, run, and optimise integrated lead and demand generation campaigns across both Government and Social Housing sectorsthat drive demand and support revenue targets for customer acquisition and expansion.

- Lead multi-channel campaigns across email, media, website, events, search, paid media and social.

- Use data to track and optimise MQL > SQL performance.

- Organise and attend in-person and online events to promote key message narratives.

Digital and Website Performance

- Own and deliver the website strategy to increase traffic, engagement and conversion (WordPress experience a bonus).

- Improve user journeys and ensure content supports priority initiatives across both the Government and Social Housing.

- Monitor and analyse website analytics using GA4 and Semrush to identify improvements and report progress.

- Ensure every web asset has a clear purpose and supports the wider marketing strategy.

- Manage sector LinkedIn activity

- Report on digital marketing activity to identify areas for improvement

Content and Thought Leadership

- Develop compelling content that positions NEC as the supplier of choice for councils and housing organisations.

- Produce or work with external agencies to articles, blogs, case studies, sales enablement tools, whitepapers, guides, and campaign assets.

- Craft messaging for key initiatives, product propositions, and sector-wide challenges.

- Maintain consistent tone of voice and ensure alignment across all channels.

Team Leadership and Coaching

- Line-manage and coach a growing team of digital, content, and campaign implementers.

- Provide clear direction, feedback, and development opportunities.

- Promote a collaborative, supportive, and high-performance culture.

Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with Product, Sales, Leadership, and subject matter experts to shape initiatives.

- Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable marketing plans, aligned to the business strategy.

- Communicate campaign progress and performance against KPIs to senior leadership.

- Lead external agencies, when appropriate, to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, design and digital marketing.

Reporting, Insights and Automation

- Monitor and track activity and deliver regular reporting on KPIs.

- Analyse campaign and website data to recommend improvements.

- Conduct quantitative and qualitative market and competitor research to support strategy development and campaign activity.

- Use marketing automation tools (e.g. ActiveCampaign) to build workflows, nurture programmes, and lead scoring.

- Ensure data quality and reporting accuracy across CRM and marketing systems.

And with support, you'll need to:

- Support the development and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy for wider NECSWS with a particular focus on the government and social housing sectors.

- Manage stakeholders' expectations.

- Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare monthly reports for management.

The ideal candidate is a creative, digitally savvy and commercially minded marketing professional who can develop compelling content, deliver integrated marketing campaigns, and help position NEC as a trusted partner within Government & Housing. This is a hands-on role, requiring someone who is comfortable creating content, developing campaigns, managing stakeholders, and delivering activity across multiple channels.
