THE ROLE

AG1 is seeking a Manager, Retail Finance to support our business as we expand our presence in grocery, mass, club, and other retailers. This high-impact role is responsible for partnering with our Retail Team and across the organization to deliver the retail strategy and budgeted financial targets, work to improve product COGS, develop trade spend visibility and efficiencies, ensure accuracy of Retailer fines/fees/deductions, assist in the order to cash process, and other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Director, Retail Finance the successful candidate is an experienced finance business partner to Commercial/Retail Sales with a strong understanding of the grocery, mass, club, and natural retail landscape. This role requires a mix of strong partnership skills, analytical and financial acumen, and the ability to both execute existing and build new processes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Visibility and Tracking

- Support the execution of the strategic sales plan and budget to expand the AG1 footprint within retail partners across the US.

- Create dashboarding which brings together external and internal data to enable KPI financial tracking and enhances performance visibility

- Financial analysis on new business opportunities, assess competitive dynamics, and proactively address challenges to drive growth.

Retail Execution

- Post event analysis of retail marketing programs, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with retailer and AG1 objectives.

- Enable Sales to execute product launches, seasonal promotions, and merchandising strategies driving sustainable and profitable growth

- Understand innovation pipeline and partner with NPD in the development and fit for Retail

Deduction & Order to Cash

- Ensure timely invoicing and collection of cash. Act as the AR liaison for Retail and work with Accounting & Corporate Finance teams on cashflow assumptions

- Monitor Customer fines/fees/deductions/allowances. Understand contracts and work to create strategies that minimize the financial impact

- Monitor Customer PO’s for adherence to agreed commercial terms

Business Partnership

- Assist in Customer product assortment and NPD (innovation) financial analysis

- Collaborate in the S&OP process to improve forecasting and demand visibility

- Leverage sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to influence the retail strategy and to optimize financial performance.

- Provide regular performance updates to senior leadership, offering actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

- 4-7+ years of experience with a CPG/consumer products brand supporting Sales Teams and major retailers experience like Costco, Target, Ulta, etc

- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business plans.
