About the role and what you'll be doing:

This role requires a skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer with 3-5 Years of specialized technical experience to support, maintain, and enhance a suite of mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in various skills in mainframe technologies, middleware, databases, and DevOps practices, with a strong understanding of enterprise application support and acts as a technical lead, responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting critical mainframe applications while guiding junior team members

- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

- Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their operational workflows.

- Worked on waterfall and agile methodology projects; capable of handling - Incidents, Service Requests and Change Requests simultaneously.

- Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration.

- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries.

- Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams

- Understand both functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs.

Required Qualifications

- Education; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience; Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Experience with version control systems and software development tools.

- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- US Citizen or US Green Card Holder
