We have an exciting opportunity for an intern on our Development Operations Fundraising Systems Team. As an intern supporting our regional Heart Challenge, Go Red and Heart Ball events, you will support the Development Operations Fundraising Systems Team by learning key fundraising systems and assisting with critical data management activities during the organization's peak social event season. This role provides hands-on experience with fundraising technology, event support processes, customer service, and nonprofit operations while contributing to the success of fundraising initiatives across the region.The Association offers many resources to help you maintain work-life harmonization through your changing needs and life situations. Internship Overview:

- Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week

- Internship Duration: 1/25/27-5/7/27 ​

- Location: Remote within the Central Time Zone

- Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities

- Responsibilities include becoming familiar with and gain working knowledge of the American Heart Association 's fundraising platforms, including Luminate and Givergy , and other related systems.

- Perform timely and accurate data entry , record maintenance, and database updates to support fundraising activities during the organization's high-volume social event season.

- Assist with monitoring the team's shared email inbox and help route or respond to internal customer service requests in a timely and professional manner.

- Review and pre-screen email blast requests for completeness, ensuring required information is submitted before requests are forwarded for processing.

- Participate in pre-event planning and team calls to gain exposure to fundraising operations, event technology, and the operational support provided to Development staff.

- Support the maintenance and organization of fundraising and event-related data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.

- Collaborate with Operations team members to identify and resolve routine data and system-related issues.

- Learn and follow established operational procedures, data standards, and best practices.

- Assist with special projects and administrative support tasks as assigned.

- Perform additional duties and projects as needed based on team priorities and business needs.
