About Us

ALL DAY is an independent café based in Brisbane, Australia. We serve breakfast, brunch and specialty coffee, with a strong focus on quality food, customer experience and building a loyal local community.

We're an established business with an existing customer base, active digital channels and plenty of opportunities for growth.

We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded marketing professional to take ownership of our marketing strategy and execution.

This is not a traditional virtual assistant, content creator or social media scheduling role.

We need someone who can identify opportunities, develop ideas and independently turn them into results.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Marketing Strategy & Growth

Develop and execute marketing campaigns focused on increasing weekday trade, repeat visits and revenue.

Identify new opportunities to attract customers and grow the business.

Build and manage a marketing calendar with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.

Evaluate campaign performance and continuously improve our marketing approach.

Partnerships & Local Marketing

Identify and approach local businesses, community groups, fitness clubs and organisations for potential collaborations.

Manage influencer partnerships, from initial outreach through to campaign execution and follow-up.

Develop strategies to grow catering enquiries, group bookings and private events.

Proactively identify relevant local events and promotional opportunities.

Local Marketing & Community Engagement

Develop and execute local marketing initiatives that increase awareness, attract new customers and drive repeat visits to ALL DAY. We're looking for someone who can proactively identify opportunities within our local community and turn them into measurable business results.

Local Business Partnerships: Identify and build relationships with nearby businesses, offices, residential buildings, hotels, gyms and other organisations to generate customer visits, catering enquiries and group bookings.

Community Engagement: Develop relationships with local community groups, fitness clubs, social groups and event organisers to create opportunities for collaborations and events.

Grassroots Marketing: Plan and coordinate letterbox drops, flyers, posters, local promotions, sampling activities and other offline marketing initiatives.

Local Events & Activations: Identify opportunities to participate in local events, markets and community activities, as well as develop events and promotions hosted at the café.

Resident & Neighbourhood MarketingDevelop targeted campaigns for nearby apartment residents, local workers and surrounding neighbourhoods to increase customer frequency.

Corporate Outreach: Proactively approach local offices and businesses to promote catering, workplace breakfasts, meetings and group bookings.

Local PR & Media: Build relationships with Brisbane food publications, community media, local influencers and relevant event platforms to generate publicity.

Campaign Measurement: Track the outcomes of local marketing initiatives, including enquiries, redemptions, bookings, customer visits and attributable revenue.

The expectation is to actively develop and execute local marketing opportunities, not simply suggest ideas. You'll be responsible for identifying potential partners, making contact, coordinating activities and following through to measurable outcomes.

Digital Marketing & Content

Take ownership of our Instagram and Facebook marketing.

Develop original, engaging content ideas that reflect our brand and actual customer experience.

Coordinate photography, video content and creative assets.

Plan and execute email marketing campaigns that encourage repeat visits and customer engagement.

Maintain and optimise our website, Google Business Profile and relevant online platforms.

Campaign Execution & Reporting

Independently coordinate and execute campaigns from concept to completion.

Manage external suppliers, photographers, content creators and other partners.

Track campaign results, including customer enquiries, bookings, engagement and revenue where measurable.

Provide clear reporting on what has worked, what hasn't and what should happen next.

Operations & Executive Support

Alongside marketing responsibilities, you'll provide practical administrative and operational support to the business owner. We're looking for someone versatile, organised and comfortable handling a variety of tasks as needed.

POS & Online Ordering Management: Maintain and update our point-of-sale, online ordering and delivery platforms, including menu changes, pricing, promotions, product availability and system configuration.

Executive Assistance: Assist with ad hoc business and personal administration, including travel research and bookings, scheduling, reservations and general coordination.

Recruitment Support: Manage job advertisements, screen applications, shortlist candidates, coordinate interviews and assist with onboarding.

Research & Special Projects: Undertake research, investigate solutions and manage occasional projects or tasks assigned by the business owner.

This component of the role will vary from week to week. Marketing remains the primary focus, but flexibility, initiative and a willingness to support the broader business are essential.

Who We're Looking For

Ideally, you have experience as a Marketing Manager, Growth Marketing Specialist or Account Manager within a digital or creative marketing agency.

Essential requirements:

Minimum 3 years of relevant marketing experience.

Demonstrated experience independently developing and executing marketing campaigns.

Strong written and spoken English.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage projects, priorities and deadlines without constant supervision.

Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how marketing contributes to revenue.

Confidence making recommendations, challenging ideas constructively and taking ownership of outcomes.

A proactive, resourceful approach to identifying and solving problems.

Highly regarded:

Marketing experience with cafés, restaurants, hospitality, retail or other consumer-facing businesses.

Influencer marketing, partnerships and community engagement experience.

Email marketing and customer retention campaigns.

Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Squarespace, Google Analytics and email marketing platforms.

Familiarity with the Australian consumer market.

How We Work

You'll work directly with the owner of ALL DAY and have the autonomy to develop ideas, make recommendations and manage marketing execution.

We're looking for someone who takes initiative rather than waits for instructions.

We value original thinking, creativity, accuracy and attention to detail over high volumes of generic content.

You'll be responsible for planning your work, meeting agreed deadlines and communicating progress proactively.

We don't believe in unnecessary meetings or micromanagement, but we do expect accountability and consistent delivery.

How to Apply

Please answer the following questions in your application:

Tell us about a marketing campaign you personally initiated and managed. What was the objective, what did you do, and what were the measurable results?

Imagine you're responsible for marketing a busy Australian café that wants to increase weekday customer visits. What are the first three opportunities you would investigate, and why?

What experience do you have marketing hospitality, retail or other consumer-facing businesses?

Have you worked at a marketing agency or managed marketing independently for clients? Please describe your responsibilities.

What is your expected monthly salary for 25 hours per week?

Please don't send a generic cover letter.

We're interested in your actual experience, your thinking and your ability to independently deliver results. Specific examples of campaigns you've managed are much more valuable than a polished CV.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and may be asked to complete a paid practical marketing assessment.

We look forward to hearing from you.
