About The Role
WEKA is seeking a Director, Corporate Communications, to lead and scale our internal and external communications function, including earned media, employee communications, employer brand, and issues management. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, you'll set the public relations agenda, direct our agency of record, keep employees informed and inspired, and turn WEKA's story into coverage, conversation, and credibility.
You'll drive a communications program that already has real momentum in thought leadership and trend authority. Your mandate is to build on that foundation and raise the bar, helping cement the company's position as a category leader. You’ll be joining an AI-forward team that uses AI across research, monitoring, drafting, and measurement, with human judgment and storytelling as the differentiator. You'll set that standard.
This is a hands-on, player-coach role. You'll shape communications strategy and execute it yourself: writing press releases, running launch-day logistics, editing your team's work, and building programs from the ground up. Leaders who thrive at WEKA lead by doing.

-
Spokesperson and subject matter expert development. Grow WEKA's bench of technical spokespeople through bylines, panels, and speaking programs, in close partnership with the VP of Corporate Marketing.
-
Issues and crisis communications. Own the playbook for the moments nobody plans for: pre-staged materials, clear escalation paths, calm hands, and coordinated messaging inside and out.
Internal Communications and Employer Brand
-
Employee communications. Keep everyone at WEKA informed, connected, engaged, and excited about where WEKA is going, with programs that reach both remote and in-office teams equally. Manage company-wide channels and oversee content for all hands and town halls.
-
Employer brand. Develop campaigns and materials that strengthen WEKA's reputation as a place to do career-defining work, in partnership with our People team, and measure employee sentiment and engagement along the way.
-
Change communications. Help leadership communicate wins, changes, and challenges with authenticity and consistency during periods of growth and transition.
Leadership and Operations
