The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for guiding travel healthcare candidates through the credentialing and compliance process, ensuring they meet facility and Aya requirements by established document due dates. This role serves as a key liaison between candidates, internal teams, and healthcare facilities while delivering a timely, accurate, and supportive experience in a fast-paced environment.

The duration of this temp role is expected to be about 4 months.

Responsibilities

- Manage the credentialing and compliance process for travel healthcare candidates from onboarding through clearance.

- Review candidate documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with facility and Aya requirements.

- Communicate with candidates, healthcare facilities, recruiters, and internal partners to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding items.

- Monitor candidate files, deadlines, and start dates to maintain a strong sense of urgency and support timely clearance.

- Maintain accurate candidate records and documentation within credentialing and compliance systems.

- Apply department processes, available resources, and facility requirements to move files forward efficiently.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine credentialing issues while escalating complex concerns appropriately.

- Manage daily workload and priorities while meeting established KPIs, SLAs, and clearance expectations.

- Provide coverage for other Credentialing Specialists when needed, including reviewing active files, deadlines, and outstanding requirements.

- Support team initiatives, process improvements, overflow work, and special projects as business needs arise.

- Deliver a professional, positive, and solutions-oriented experience in every interaction.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of education.

- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven administrative, healthcare, staffing, credentialing, compliance, or customer service environment.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines and service level expectations.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing, inaccurate, or incomplete information.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with candidates, facilities, and internal partners.

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to use available resources effectively.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Comfortable learning and navigating multiple systems and processes.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn credentialing and compliance systems.
