Mission of the role
To champion a culture of compliance and risk awareness across Sleek , ensuring adherence to regulatory standards globally while driving continuous improvement in our technology and processes.
Key outcomes in the first 6โ12 months
Outcome 1: Know Your Customer (KYC)
- Review individual KYC exceptions and complete identification/verification within agreed SLAs.
- Complete corporate shareholder KYC reviews accurately and within agreed SLAs.
- Ensure all KYC decisions and supporting documentation are complete and appropriately recorded.
Outcome 2: Client Risk Assessment
- Independently approve low- and medium-risk client cases within SLA.
- Assess higher-risk cases and provide clear recommendations to the Head of Compliance within SLA.
- Apply sound judgement and a consistent, risk-based approach when assessing client risk.
Outcome 3: Screening & Monitoring Alerts
- Review name screening alerts within SLA and accurately determine whether they are false positives or potential true hits requiring escalation.
- Review transaction monitoring alerts within SLA and determine whether they can be closed or require further investigation.
- Ensure decisions are appropriately documented and escalated where required.
Outcome 4: Process & Technology Improvement
- Review existing Compliance policies, tools and processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with the Head of Compliance to improve the efficiency, consistency and effectiveness of compliance operations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology and AI to improve compliance workflows and decision-making.
Must-have experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in a role involving analysis, judgement and/or risk assessment ; previous Compliance experience is not strictly required.
- Experience using AI tools in the workplace , ideally including experimentation with or practical exposure to agentic AI .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess information, identify risks and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work with data and technology and learn new systems quickly.
