This Position reports to:
Application Engineering Manager - Industries Robotics
As a Welding Applications Engineer you'll be partnering with our sales teams and will work on conituous improvment and support for our welding and cutting related products. Tasks include developing proof-of-concepts, cycle time evaluations, reach studies, and configuration of robotic solutions for welding and cutting applications.

The work model for this role is: Remote-home office and have up to 35% of travel in the south eastern United States. Ideal candidate would be based in the south eastern market (TN - Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga) near a major metro airport.
Core Responsibilities

Work with sales to review customer requirements, propose and design robotic solutions.

Showcase proof of concept and other demonstrations and presentations to customers.

Ensure all solutions comply with customer specs and any code requirements.

Collaborate with customers, internal teams and potentially third party to address any issues, handle any changes in proposal or other documentation and alignment on requirements.

Requirements

-
Bachelor’s in engineering or engineering technology with 10+ years in Robotic Welding or Associates Degree and 12+ years

Offline programming such as RobotStudio or similar

Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of customers as well as peer teams (sales, project management, etc.)

Ability to read welding drawings, understand welding industry codes and knowledge of welding processes (laser, plasma, etc.) desirable.

Automation engineering knowledge is desirable.

Previous welding experience mandatory, ideally robotic.
