Accounts Payable Clerk
Salary: R23 000 per month
Remote Recruitment is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a UK-based finance team from South Africa. You will make sure suppliers are paid accurately and on time, and that the ledger tells the truth.
It is a good fit if you are careful with numbers, comfortable chasing a discrepancy until it resolves, and take quiet satisfaction in a clean reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders.
- Prepare payment runs and resolve queries before they hold things up.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate differences.
- Maintain accurate records in the accounting system.
- Liaise with suppliers professionally over payment queries.
- Support month-end close with clean, complete data.
What You Will Need
- Experience with accounts payable, bookkeeping or a similar finance role.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
- Solid spreadsheet skills and strong attention to detail.
- Clear written and spoken English.
- A methodical approach to reconciliation work.
Working Hours
- Full-time position.
- Fully remote, based in South Africa.
- 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).
