Account Manager
Position Summary
At MyAdvice , we grow by helping our clients win. As an Account Manager, you’ll own client migration, retention and expansion across a portfolio of medical, dental, and legal practices. Using a diagnostic sales approach, you’ll help clients realize measurable value, demonstrate ROI through business reviews, and identify opportunities to expand their partnership with MyAdvice . You’ll work closely with Client Success, Sales, and Product to advance client goals while contributing directly to our revenue retention and growth targets.
Essential Duties
- Own retention and expansion revenue across an assigned portfolio of medical, dental, and legal practice clients, carrying a revenue target for your book of business.
- Lead recurring business reviews with practice owners and decision-makers to demonstrate ROI, reinforce value, and uncover upsell, cross-sell, and resell opportunities.
- Manage renewals proactively, identifying at-risk accounts early and executing save plays well ahead of the renewal date.
- Apply a structured diagnostic methodology (SPICED) to understand each client’s situation, pain, and goals and connect them to the right MyAdvice solutions.
- Partner with Sales and Onboarding to understand new clients’ workflows, priorities, and obstacles and set the foundation for long-term growth.
- Develop joint success plans with CustomerSuccess to ensure clients achieve their marketing and growth objectives while you drive commercial expansion.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with practice owners, office managers, and marketing decision-makers.
- Maintain accurate account, pipeline, activity, and forecast data in HubSpot and Planhat.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure client feedback is captured, reviewed, and prioritized.
- Contribute to team performance through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and process improvement.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of B2B account management, customer success, or full-cycle sales experience, ideally serving SMB clients.
- Proven track record of achieving retention and expansion revenue targets across an owned book of business.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the presence to advise business owners and explain marketing concepts in plain language.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing fundamentals (websites, SEO, paid search, reputation management).
- Experience working in HubSpot or a similar CRM, with strong data hygiene habits.
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven thinking, and exceptional project and time management.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with structured sales methodologies (SPICED, Challenger, MEDDPICC).
- Experience selling to or serving medical, dental, or legal practices.
- Familiarity with customer success platforms (Planhat or similar) and quoting tools (PandaDoc or similar).
- Track record of strong net revenue retention in a prior role.
- Experience reporting on campaign performance, marketing analytics, and client ROI.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience (preferred).
- High school education or equivalent
- High speed internet connection to facilitate a remote working environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States

- Incentive Pay: Variable compensation tied to retention and expansion targets
- Position Type: Exempt; Full-time
- Schedule: Most common schedule listed below:
- Monday-Friday (no nights or weekends) business hours based on your time zone
- For example: 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm plus 0-60 minutes for a lunch break per employee preference and manager’s approval
