Washington Therapist - Suicide Prevention & Family Support
CareMind, part of the Mindoula Health family is hiring licensed therapists (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) to join our fully remote Suicide Prevention & Family Support Program in Washington .
Compensatio n: For candidates located in Washington State the pay is $90,000 a year. For candidates located outside of Washington, the salary is $75,000 per year plus excellent benefits and the opportunity to work with a fantastic team.

As a Therapist, Suicide Prevention & Family Support (SPFS), you will work in collaborative settings to provide biopsychosocial assessments, individual and group therapy, and work with your team to coordinate care across a range of treatment settings. You will have the ability to manage a caseload and make decisions with appropriate autonomy.
Core Duties:
- Deliver Family-Centered Psychotherapy: Provide evidence-based individual, joint family, and parent/guardian teletherapy for youth (ages 12–26) at high or critical risk of suicide, utilizing family-systems frameworks, C-CBT, DBT skills, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Conduct Suicide Risk Assessment & Safety Planning: Administer validated risk assessment tools (e.g., C-SSRS) and lead real-time Safety Planning, lethal means counseling, and crisis stabilization tailored to both the youth and their family unit.
- Manage Monthly Acuity & Risk Stratification: Complete validated clinical assessments at monthly review periods to measure acuity, track suicide risk trajectory, and dynamically adjust care frequency and treatment goals based on member readiness and family capacity.
- Lead Clinical Care Team Collaboration: Direct the clinical safety strategy in close partnership with assigned Behavioral Health Support Specialists (BHSS) and the 24/7 crisis response team, ensuring aligned roles without duplicating billable services.
- Provide Crisis Escalation Response: Serve as the licensed clinician for high-acuity escalations, executing immediate risk mitigation, triage, and rapid safety plan updates during critical member events.
- Maintain Fee-for-Service & Medicaid Compliance: Complete high-integrity, timely clinical documentation (DAP) that explicitly substantiates medical necessity, suicide risk levels, family interventions, and whole-person care for Medicaid Fee-for-Service (FFS) billing.
- Drive Multimodal Youth & Family Engagement: Utilize multi-platform engagement technology (video, secure messaging, interactive safety apps) to maintain persistent outreach and re-engage ambivalent youth or overwhelmed caregivers.
- Integrate Care Infrastructure & Panel Tracking: Actively participate in interdisciplinary huddles, maintain registry accuracy, and monitor personal KPIs (billable hours, documentation turnaround, and show rates) to optimize clinical outcomes across the program panel.
- Collaborate with the member, family, and healthcare providers to develop an individualized plan of care.
- Develop and coordinate community resources with emphasis on medical, behavioral, suicide prevention, and social services.
- Identify and initiate referrals for social service programs – including financial, psycho-social, community, and state supportive services.
- Document all member assessments, care plans, and referrals provided. Prepare and maintain all required records, reports, paperwork, and member’s diagnostic records, maintaining confidentiality of members at all times.
