About the Role

We are a family wealth and trust education brand growing entirely through organic content. You will take one weekly filming session from our founder and turn it into two long form YouTube videos (10–30 minutes each) plus 21 short form videos per week (3 posts per day) distributed across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. Long form is our trust engine and short form is our awareness engine, and you own both. Speed and consistency matter more than fancy effects on the short form side. On the long form side, retention editing is the skill: tight pacing, story arcs, and keeping watch time high from minute one to minute thirty.

You will also use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) daily as part of the workflow — for ideation, hook rewriting, caption drafts, and performance analysis. You don't need to be an AI expert, but you need to be comfortable prompting, reviewing, and editing AI output. AI drafts, you d ---------- . Nothing ships unreviewed.

What You'll Do

Edit two long form YouTube videos (10–30 minutes) from the weekly filming session, optimized for retention and watch time

Cut 21 vertical short form videos per week (3 posts per day) from the same footage

Add bold captions/subtitles, jump cuts, and strong hooks in the first 3 seconds on short form

Use Claude/ChatGPT for ideation passes, hook variations, caption drafts, and weekly performance analysis

Repurpose one filming session into multiple distinct short form pieces

Add b-roll, graphics, and chapter structure to long form where it aids retention

Deliver finished edits within 24–48 hours of receiving footage

Organize and maintain the footage/asset library

Coordinate with the founder over Slack/Voxer during US business hours

What We're Looking For

Portfolio of BOTH vertical short form edits AND at least one long form video (10+ minutes) you edited end to end

Strong command of CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut

Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) in your daily workflow — give an example if you have one

Reliable high-speed internet and your own editing setup

Comfortable communicating in English (written and spoken)

Available to overlap with US Eastern time zone hours

Fast turnaround habits — if you miss deadlines, this is not the role for you

Pay range: $800–$1,500/month depending on long form skill level

Growth path: as content volume scales, this role grows into lead editor managing additional contract editors
