What You'll Be Responsible For

As a Bookkeeper, you will be the cornerstone of our CAS (Client Advisory Service ) - Bookkeeping team, ensuring accurate and timely financial deliverables for our diverse client base. During your tenure, you will hone and demonstrate your skills in the following areas:

- Masterfully manage client portfolios with different levels of complexity, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Maintain pristine ledgers through accurate categorizations and reconciliations.

- Prepare reliable monthly financial statements, including comprehensive bank and credit card reconciliations.

- Process quarterly and year-end closing entries and manage informational tax filings (e.g., Form 1099s).

- Execute ad-hoc accounting tasks and complex catch-up/clean-up bookkeeping projects with strong problem-solving skills.

- Conduct client onboarding and lead regular or ad-hoc check-ins via phone and Google Meet.

- Collaborate proactively with clients to retrieve essential financial documents and missing information (think of yourself as a financial detective!).

Serve as a primary point of contact, building long-term trust and acting as a go-to financial resource.

Adhere to company Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding communication response times and record-keeping within the Accountant Portal.

Partner with internal fulfillment teams to contribute to integrated financial service packages for clients.

Consistently meet performance targets and delivery timelines while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

- 3+ years of US accounting firm client-facing bookkeeping work experience.

- Familiarity with GAAP, experience in accrual accounting (including AR/AP) is a plus.

- QuickBooks Online wizardry is a MUST! Xero experience is a plus.

- Experience in using ADP, Gusto, ---------- , Ramp and/or other comparable platforms is a plus.

- Tech fluency – you're comfortable with Google Suite (including Google Meets), VoIP and learning new technology.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with peers and manage stakeholders/clients.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

- Commitment to work 40 hours per week (and potentially more during peak tax season), including required overlapping availability during standard EST operational hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST) and flexible working hours offering to accommodate personal preferences and scheduled client meetings or appointments.

This allows you to safely use your own computer for work, ensuring company data remains secure while keeping your personal information completely private and separate.
