A DAY IN THE LIFE:
The Sr. Trade Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Tandem’s dual Channel strategy with trade accounts to include traditional distributors, wholesalers, specialty distributors and mail order pharmacies. This role serves as a liaison between Tandem and assigned accounts, providing feedback and communications in both directions. The Sr. Trade Account Manager is also responsible for forecasting, strategic planning, and operational problem resolution.
A Sr. Trade Account Manager at Tandem also:

Develops relationships with trade account leadership on a national level and ensures attainment and retention of market share, sales plans, and profitability.

Establishes stable, long-term contractual relationships that are efficient and predictable, including negotiating trade contracts, pricing, and service levels across multiple channels.

Works collaboratively with the US Commercial team to include Market Access, Marketing, Sales as well as Finance and Supply Chain to develop, set and execute dual channel strategies.

Establishes and consistently reviews account metrics to drive and ensure a high level of execution.

Provides input into the design and development of training programs and materials directed towards distributors that support the launch and sale of Tandem products.

Manages portfolio and identifies opportunities for revenue and margin improvement, market share growth, and improved customer relations; ensure improved margin, and market share.

Develops and maintains a network of leading trade contacts across multiple channels.
WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:
Remote: This position is fully remote and open to candidates within the United States. Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur virtually.
Travel: This role will require car and air travel up to 30% of time.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.) in related field or combination of equivalent education and applicable work experience.

8 or more years of successful field sales experience with either 5 or more years of successful account management or an equivalent combination of business experience and education.

Thorough understanding of the Trade industry and the medical product distribution process in a large healthcare organization or prescription drug vendor.

Displays a broad understanding of sales techniques and the strategic objectives of the medical device sales marketplace.

Demonstrated capability in driving corporate strategy through understanding the market and industry.

Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner.

Ability to analyze a wide variety of data including sales and financial data to make business decisions.

Strong understanding of the US access environment, including distributors, pharmacies, reimbursement / co-pay support services, payer coverage, pricing.
