Position Summary:
- Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP, SEC guidance, and emerging accounting standards; prepare clear, audit-ready technical accounting memoranda and documentation.
- Analyze and document complex and non-routine transactions, including business combinations and acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, consolidations, goodwill and intangible assets, debt and equity transactions, foreign currency, and software capitalization.
- Support technical accounting matters specific to a complex healthcare services organization, including risk management programs, self-insurance arrangements, medical malpractice liabilities, and physician compensation programs.
- Partner with Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Operations, Corporate Development, Human Resources, Information Technology, and external auditors to assess accounting implications and ensure appropriate reporting treatment.
- Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, disclosures, accounting standard implementations, due diligence, purchase accounting, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; advanced degree or additional accounting education is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or a public accounting environment.
- CPA certification preferred; strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, accounting research methodologies, and financial statement disclosures. Experience with IFRS is a plus.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, organization, and collaboration skills, with a high level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex accounting guidance into practical business solutions.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $86,900 - $130,200 Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
