Sr. Systems Engineer I (5051)
As a Sr. Systems Engineer I , you’ll execute and support the implementation of a successful Agency level Cybersecurity program.

What you’ll do:
- Develop, administer, and execute processes using the RSA Archer tools platform; serve as the security engineering subject matter expert responsible for the planning, designing, and architecting of a multi-technology cyber solution.
- Investigate to determine root causes of security issues to perform troubleshooting and problem resolution to restore services; develop, present and implement sound recommendations for remediation.
- Provide guidance and support security activities while building relationships with key personnel; document and inform management with information about security information and event management.
- Remote management and troubleshooting of workstations and servers; provide expert research and analysis in support of expanding programs and area of responsibility.
- Assess information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands; apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
- Perform analysis of security features for system architectures; perform management and coordination tasks; provide agency with knowledge and guidance in following NIST, FISMA, Agency Information Security and Privacy, and Cloud Guidelines.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for security information and event management.
- At least 5 years of security experience, including at least 2 years directly engaged with security engineering activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance
- Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and Cloud Environments.
- Security+ Certification
SALARY RANGE: $92,000 - $120,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar , which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
